Venus 220 Volt – Lust im Haushalt
Venus 220 Volt is an experimental short film from 1991. Manuela, the mermaid, has a problem: the only thing her counterparts in the self-awareness group are interested in is the question, "Where is your clitoris?" Venus 220 Volt is a feminist satire about the struggle of emancipated women to gain pleasure.
Ulrike Zimmermann is a filmmaker and producer of controversial arthouse films for international cinema. In the last 30 years she has produced and co-produced 35 feature films which won many international awards. She likes to deal with “movies that matter” and topics that are considered “controversial”.
