The work takes as its starting point a series of obsessive, burning sexual experiences, told freely and in detail by friends of the director. The play with men and women’s voices revealing their sexual secrets, combined with beautiful archive footage (in Super 8) and the darkness of the black screen, generates an atmosphere of erotic tension, within a highly poetic language.

Born in Lebanon in 1970, Danielle Arbid left her country at age seventeen. Once in France, she studied literature and took on filmmaking. As a director and screenwriter she has made short films, features, video essays and documentaries. Her films have been awarded with prizes such as the Golden and Silver Leopard at Locarno’s Video Competition, as well as the Albert Londres Prize.
